Galleywinter Farm is 21 acres of beautiful rolling hills, woods, and streams, founded in April 1991. The grounds of the Farm have taken shape over the years as amendities were added for necessity and delight.
Galleywinter is home to many creatures. We delight in their visits and presence on the farm.
We love the intention to slow down, notice, sit and stare. Some call it meditation.. take in the view, the sounds, the feel of it all.

In Japan, “forest bathing” means literally taking a bath in the woods. On the Farm, you can bathe in a clawfoot tub on a deck with hot water, situated in a poplar grove just a short walk from the barn and outdoor shower.
Bathe in whatever temperature you desire. A transformative experience.
"The pastures, trees, flowers and horses invited us to walk and reconnect more deeply with Earth and ourselves. We are so grateful."
"The Forest Shower was magical."

Our cold “plunge” is a 100 gallon trough in the woods, flanked by a hickory sapling and a large maple. It is a short walk from the gym and studio.
My favorite sequence is cold plunge, then weight lifting in the sun.

Are you pulled to create? The workshop holds woodworking tools used to create several of the benches and tables around Galleywinter.
We have a place to work out with weights and benches. From 3 lb to 20 lb dumbbells, a bar with varied weight, a physioball and mini trampoline. It’s open air, with a view of the woods.
I take the weights outside and catch morning sunshine.
